”Vinik is the importer who many know, but never keeps any open tastings for anyone who runs a restaurant, it’s a more personal relationship pursued.
Here the foresight is more spontaneous and flexible, in a cozy tasting and romantic ambiance, wines from both organic and biodynamic winemaking.
Nik is the owner of Vinik, on saturday he showed off his new winemaker Réva (meaning grape in Czech) from Piedmont Italy. In Monforte d`Alba the house and winery are surrounded by vineyards . For the winemaking the main responsibility lies with oenologist Gianluca Colombo he shares it with the founder of the winery’s Miroslav Lekes from the Czech Republic who long had considerable interest in drinking Piedmontese wines, and who thought it was time to make wine on their own, together with ancillary accommodation and a restaurant.
Reva cultivate Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Chardonnay, Arneis and Sauvignon Blanc, over an area of five hectares.”
